Brown snake gravel is a single day off road experience around greater brisbane Designed for Gravel bikes (or mtb).
riders will explore their choice of route (long or short) with like minded mates old and new.
It's not a race but there will be timed segments for those who like to test themselves.
If you liked our sister event Brisbane Roubaix, but wanted more gravel, then the brown snake is for you.

entries include all of the ingredients for An epic day out on two wheels.
Choice of two epic routes (long or short)
Route navigation file (GPX, RWGPS, Strava) so you don't get lost
Signed and marked course just in case you do get lost
Aid station with water, sports drink and snacks

How much gravel is there?

At least 50% for both routes. We can give you an exact % when the route is finalised (July).
Is it a race?
+
Brown snake gravel is not a race but For the competitive, we have timed segments. total overall Segment time is what counts, not the total elapsed ride time.

you'll be riding on open roads/trail so follow the road rules, be respectful to others and ride safe.
What bike is best?

We recommend a Gravel bike with 40mm tyres or above. A mountain bike will also work.
